One of the best places in Canggu to do just that is at Alternative Beach Club. This place is really relaxed, the water of the pool is vibrantly blue, there’s a swim-up bar, a slide, a swing, an area to jump off of the second floor into the pool, lounge chairs, a sandy area, delicious cocktails and good food.
Some prefer Canggu, some prefer Seminyak, some prefer Ubud. I think it all depends on your personal preferences. If you’d like to be closer to the sea, you have to choose Canggu or Seminyak. Agree with VR above, Seminyak would be the better option. There are plenty of places to stay that are within walking distance of shopping and great restaurants but still quiet. We stayed at Mutiara Bali Boutique Resort and Villa and thoroughly enjoyed it.
