Acrobat doesn't need to store its title in the registry or file system, it will be compiled in. It is possible for a program using suitable APIs to inspect the Acrobat EXE for its architecture. Alternatively, you could make assumptions from the install folder (Program files vs Program Files (X86) but check first the system is 64 bit). 1 Upvote.
Not really. I can extract any AcroRdrDCx64*version*_*language*.exe and get these files: So I can deploy AcroPro.msi with GPO. If I do so I didn't get the latest patch and I can't deploy the msp-patchfile alone.
The version that we are currently on does not support the 64 bit version of Acrobat. Is there a way to force install the 32 bit version of Acrobat? A couple things I have tried: 1. Installing Acrobat from Adobe Creative Cloud used to install the 32 bit version by default, however within the last couple of months it now appears that it defaults It doesn't look like there is a 64 bit version for Linux available anywhere. Looking at the script, it doesn't look like anything special is done for 64 bit distro's and I needn't have brought it up in the first place. So if you are running on a 64 bit only chip such as Itanium, you might be out of luck.
In an Adobe Creative Cloud application, choose File > Print, select Adobe PDF as the target printer, and click Print Settings (Photoshop) or Setup > Preferences (InDesign). (Windows) In Office 2010 or later applications, choose Acrobat > Preferences. (Windows) In another authoring application or utility, choose Adobe PDF > Change Conversion

Later I noticed that I had links to both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions in Public Desktop and in my Start Programs list. I am happy enough to continue to use the 64 bit version but would like to remove the 32 bit one. However, the list of programs in Control Panel lists only the 64 bit version. Starting with February 2021 release, 64-bit versions of Acrobat Reader, Acrobat Standard, and Acrobat Pro on Windows are available to download for selected geographies. Now, the 64-bit version of Acrobat Reader is available to download for all locales: Download Acrobat Reader 64-bit
The processs remains the same as with the previous SDK for 64-bit unified app in Reader mode: Create the public/private key pairs via the MakeKey utility. Submit the public key file to Adobe to generate the certificate. Sign the plugin with the private key and certificate using the SignPlugin utility. Note the following:
